Mission Statement and Statement of Faith
Mission Statement
At Unified Church, our mission is to connect organizations, communities, and individuals through vibrant activities, programs, and events. We encourage our members to embrace a nomadic spirit in Christ, fostering participation not only within our church but also in other congregations and in every aspect of daily life—be it at work, home, or the gym. Through our commitment to weekly programs, engaging activities, and transformative events, we aim to strengthen faith and build a supportive community that reflects the love of Christ in action. Together, we strive to inspire discipleship, cultivate relationships, and share the message of hope and grace with all.
Statement of Faith
Faith in Christ: Our faith is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, who came to redeem and restore all of humanity. We acknowledge that through His sacrificial life, atoning death, and glorious resurrection, we discover our ultimate hope, purpose, and identity (John 3:16; Romans 10:9).
Salvation Through Christ: We declare that salvation is a precious gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is through His sacrificial love that we are reconciled with God, forgiven of our transgressions, and granted the promise of eternal life (Ephesians 2:1-9; Romans 5:11).
Power Through Christ: We believe in the transformative power of Jesus Christ, as revealed in John 14:12-14. His promise that anyone who believes in Him will perform the same works He has done—and even greater works—affirms the boundless power that lies within our faith. Jesus, in His divine authority, invites us to ask for anything in His name, assuring us that He will act on our behalf for the glory of the Father. (Philippians 4:13; John 14:12-14).
Children of God: We joyfully embrace our identity as children of God, adopted into His eternal family through faith in Christ. This profound identity shapes our lives and empowers us to reflect His character and love in all that we undertake (1 John 3:1; Romans 8:14-17).
God’s Love: Central to our faith is the principle of love—love for God, love for one another, love for our neighbors and love for our enemies. We are called to embody this love through our actions, serving others in the same way that Christ served us, demonstrating compassion and kindness (1 John 4:7-8; Matthew 22:37-40).
Spirit of Self-Control: We hold that self-control is a vital fruit of the Holy Spirit, essential for leading a life that glorifies God. By leaning on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we endeavor to practice discipline in our thoughts, speech, and actions (Galatians 5:22-23).
Dying to the Flesh: We commit ourselves to the practice of dying to our fleshly desires and ambitions, choosing instead to live in accordance with the leading of the Holy Spirit. We believe that by surrendering our own will to that of God, we can experience true freedom, fulfillment, and joy in our lives (Galatians 2:20; Romans 8:12-14).
Obedience: We affirm that obedience to God's Word is essential to our faith. Based on 1 Peter 1:13-16, we are called to prepare our minds for action and set our hope on the grace of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, we must not conform to our former passions but strive to be holy in our conduct, reflecting God's holiness. This obedience is a heartfelt response to His love, empowering us to honor Him and advance His kingdom through the Holy Spirit. We commit to living righteously and following Christ in all aspects of our lives.
Transparency: We are committed to fostering a culture of transparency and honesty within our community of faith. We believe that openly sharing our struggles, triumphs, and testimonies cultivates deeper relationships and reflects the genuine nature of Christ’s love among us (James 5:16; 1 John 1:5-7).
Evangelism: We are charged with the sacred mission to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with all people. We recognize the vital importance of evangelism as a means of guiding others into the transformative light of God’s love and the gift of salvation (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15).
Discipleship: We are devoted to the call of making disciples, encouraging one another to grow in faith, knowledge, and spiritual maturity. We believe in the significance of walking alongside each other in our spiritual journeys, equipping one another to fulfill the Great Commission and live out our faith effectively (2 Timothy 2:2-7; Colossians 1:25-28).
In embracing these core principles, we earnestly seek to glorify God and embody our faith in ways that reflect His boundless love and grace. We invite all to join us on this transformative journey of faith, as we collectively grow in our relationship with Christ and with one another.
